A new invitational offline tournament for North American teams has been announced, featuring a prize pool of $20,000.
On December 5-6, the top North American Counter-Strike teams will once again pit their wits against each other, this time at the first Northern Arena event, which will be held at the Mattamy Athletic center, in Toronto, as part of the Canadian Videogame Awards.
A total of $20,000 will be up for grabs, a figure that will be shared between the top four finishers of the tournament, which will kick off with a round-robin group stage, following by a single-elimination bracket with the top two sides of each group.

All matches will be streamed live, with Mohan "launders" Govindasamy and Alex "Vansilli" Nguyen taking viewers through the action.
